Why “all-inclusive” matters
A $0.02 quote elsewhere rarely stays $0.02. Here’s a typical 60×80 throw, fully finished and shipped back:
| Third Story Threads — all in | $168 |
|---|---|
| Typical: quilting @ $0.025 | $120 |
| + batting (queen pkg) | ~$45 |
| + thread / setup fee | ~$25 |
| + return shipping | ~$20 |
| Typical real total | ~$210 |

Common questions
Everything you’re wondering before you send us your top. Still not sure? We’re real people and happy to help.
Still have a question?
Email us and a real human (hi, Bethany!) gets back to you — usually the same day.
What if my top isn’t perfectly square?+
Totally normal — and totally welcome. We’re 100% judge-free and have never met a wave, wonk, or bit of fullness we couldn’t tame. Send it with confidence.
What’s actually included in the price?+
Edge-to-edge computerized quilting, batting, thread, and return shipping back to you. No setup fees, no per-thread charges, no surprises. $0.035/sq in.
How long does it take?+
Our quickest turnaround is about one week for a small rush fee, confirmed up front when you book; any later date is our standard timeline at no extra charge. We quilt tops in the order they arrive, so the exact timing depends on the current queue and your design — you’ll get a specific timeline the moment you book, and we keep you posted along the way.
Do I provide my own batting and backing?+
Batting is included in your rate. You can provide your own backing, or we’ll help you choose the right wideback — added at measure.
Is binding included, or do I bind it myself?+
Your quilt comes back beautifully quilted but not bound, so you can finish the edges your way. Prefer us to handle it? We offer machine binding as an add-on — just mention it when you book and we’ll add it to your quote.
How do I ship my quilt top to you safely?+
It’s simple and safe. Fold your top — plus backing and batting if you’re providing them — into a sturdy box or padded mailer, and ship with tracking via USPS or UPS. Tuck in a note with your name and order. We confirm the moment it arrives, and return shipping back to you is already in your rate. Local to Yorktown, VA? You can drop off instead.
Who pays shipping, and is my finished quilt insured?+
You cover shipping to us; the return trip is included in your price and insured up to $100. Need higher coverage? Just ask when you book — you help cover the small extra cost.
What happens after I book?+
Booking reserves your spot — then: (1) we personally follow up, (2) we confirm your final all-inclusive price and your edge-to-edge design, (3) you mail us your top or drop it off locally in Yorktown, VA, (4) we quilt it edge-to-edge, and (5) we ship it back to you. We keep you posted at every step.
When and how do I pay?+
You pay nothing until your quilt is finished. Booking just holds your place. Before you ship, we personally follow up to confirm your exact all-inclusive total, and you make one simple payment when your quilt is complete, before we ship it back.
